The Belarusian State Medical University was established in 1921 and is considered one of Belarus’ premier institutions for medical education. Situated in Minsk, the capital city of Belarus, within the Minsk region, it is a medium-sized university accredited by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

BSMU offers various academic programs, including bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees. It gained university status for its medical faculty in 1930, making it 97 years old.
