At the collegian level, the focus is on nurturing and enhancing medical and pharmaceutical professionals with a strong emphasis on ethical principles, essential data, and practical skills necessary for competent and responsible practice. This includes organizing educational methods, conducting research, and engaging in clinical activities such as diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention. The education adheres to both national and international standards recommended by organizations like the WHO. Practical training and skill development occur within clinical units comprising around ten thousand beds across various healthcare facilities including republican and municipal hospitals, research centers, dispensaries, polyclinics, and pharmacies.

Upon arrival at Chisinau International Airport, university representatives greet foreign students and assist them in their accommodation. International students can also make international calls using cards available at the airport or from various telephone stations across the city, including near the students’ campus area.
The SUMPh offers hostel accommodation to all international students upon their arrival, eliminating the need to search for housing. 16 hostels are offering single, double, or triple occupancy rooms. Each hostel is well-equipped with kitchens, shower facilities, terraces, study areas, internet access, and other amenities. Each floor includes a fully equipped kitchen, showers, and living units with two rooms (18m and 12m), a small corridor, and a toilet. Typically, two people share a room. Indian citizens can request double occupancy rooms if available, subject to corresponding costs, by contacting the Foreign Students Department.
The hostels are conveniently located within the student campus, providing easy access to academic buildings, university clinics, pharmacies, the medical library, and dining facilities. Excellent transportation links ensure seamless connectivity between the student campus and other areas in the city.
